Canadian Union of Postal Workers Strike
Due to the ongoing national strike held by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers, Canada Post has requested all international postal services, including NZ Post, to temporarily stop sending mail to Canada. This request is in place until further notice, as negotiations continue and backlogs are addressed.
What You Need to Know:
- Suspension of Services: As of 15 November, there has been no movement of mail within Canada. International items received after this date are being securely stored and have not been processed.
- No Tracking Updates: Scans at both item and receptacle levels are unavailable during this time.
- Future Processing: Once the strike ends and services resume, stored items will be processed on a first-in, first-out basis. Customers should expect delays as Canada Post works through the backlog and stabilises its operations.
We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available.
