Freight booked through StraitNZ must be appropriately packaged and fit for transit. All shipments are charged based on the greater of the actual weight or cubic volume. Inadequately packaged freight is moved at Owner’s Risk, and customers are responsible for ensuring safe handling standards are met. Goods requiring hand-unloading may incur additional charges, and rural or home delivery locations will attract surcharges. Destinations outside the main Auckland, Wellington, or Christchurch zones may incur additional forwarding charges based on the extended delivery network.
Additional Services
StraitNZ supports bulk and oversized freight, with surcharges applying for residential delivery, manual unloading, or regional on-forwarding. Fuel surcharges are variable and reviewed monthly. All consignments are moved under Limited Carrier’s Risk when adequately packaged. Quotes provided via GoSweetSpot exclude GST and fuel.
