Important Changes For Sending Products To The EU
From 1 November 2026, a €2 handling fee per item line will apply to eligible e-commerce shipments entering the EU, regardless of shipment value.
This fee is in addition to any applicable duties, taxes and other fees, including any handling fees charged by individual EU countries.
Please ensure your product information is accurate and complete, as missing or incorrect data may result in customs delays or returned shipments. If you send with NZ Post DDP, please set up your Zonos account as soon as possible.
If you have any questions or need help finding your account number, please contact your Account Manager or our team.

Product Declaration
Additional Product Identifiers will be required for each item on the customs declaration for eligible business-to-consumer (B2C) shipments valued at €150 or less. NZ Post has also advised that Product Identifiers are required for business-to-business (B2B) shipments.
The required identifiers are:
- Merchant Product Identifier – your own SKU, item code or product code.
- Non-standardised Manufacturer Product Identifier – the unique code assigned by the manufacturer, producer or supplier.
- Standardised Manufacturer Product Identifier – a GTIN, EAN, UPC or other recognised barcode, where one exists.
You’ll also need to continue providing your usual customs information, including a clear product description, HS tariff code, country of origin and value.
** If you send anything prior to 1st November, but the parcels arrive into the EU, on or after the 1st, the parcels may get blocked **
