NZ Couriers - Jet Issue - 16/09

One of the two jets NZ Couriers have in service has now gone offline for the rest of the week. To assist. they do have one 737 and a Convair operational which will complete multiple rotations during the night. It is vital that all cold chain and medical shipments reach NZC by 4.00pm. Bluebridge Ferry Disruption

Please see the below notice we have been sent by our freight providers regarding a disruption to Inter Island freight. This will affect TIL, Mainstream and possibly courier deliveries as well.

Good Morning

You may be aware of an incident yesterday involving the Bluebridge ferry docking in stormy conditions at Picton.

Ferry sailings have been delayed or cancelled as a result of this incident.
Some Freight line haul units have been affected by this, and we anticipate this may cause delays to our Inter Island services and in turn delivery schedules for the remainder of this week.

We thank you for your patience and will be doing our best to minimize disruption.
Additional updates will be provided as further information is available.

Removal of ERS

Firstly we would like to say a big thank you to all our customers who have continued to support us through this disruption.
From the 1st November 2018, the service disruption charge associated with the Kaikoura earthquakes and affected road closures will be eliminated for these courier providers:
* Post Haste
* Castle Parcels
* New Zealand Couriers. 

The Temporary Service Continuity Surcharge is 0.00% from November onwards. This is due to the Kaikoura Section of SH1 now available for use by heavy vehicles 24/7.
We would also like to thank our partners for having worked tirelessly to ensure a great service to the South Island throughout this time.
